Photosynth: or; how to use up your 80 core desktop computer.
I must admit, I’m left wondering at times what we’ll think of next to do with over 80 cores. This is one of them.
There is no chance that the math involved is easy, and can be done on a 486.
Don’t have Joost yet? I’ve still got a ton of Joost invites. Leave a comment for an invite!
I like EVE. I play many MMORPGS, and the space aspect has always been one of my favorites. I loved Homeworld, still upset they won’t be making another one, let alone a MMORPG version.
EVE, with all the CCP rumors and crap flying around has hit me with another line of junk.
Back in March, I got an email stating that I could 7 free days to reactivate my account with no payment required. I put it off, since I had looked VERY CLOSE at the email, there was no expiration. There has been recent news on Slashdot concerning CCP, so I had some feelings coming to the surface for a good game of EVE, so I decided to take them up on the offer.
Guess what?
Your account is not eligible for re-activation offer at this time.
- Your account may not be suspended.
- The re-activation offer may be expired.
- Your account may already have taken advantage of this offer
I’ve sent an email to support, let’s see what they do about this. I’ve got copies of the email in question. If they deny my reactivation, I’ll post the email, including evidence I simply cannot have forged.
Update 5/28/07:
Still no word from CCP Customer Service. So we have strike #1. They don’t answer email within 48 hours, even for a customer.
Update 5/29/07:
After the Memorial Day weekend, I guess they verified my email offer, and I now have the 7 day trial. On another note, CCP has appropriately answered the new allegations. I’m satisfied with their answer, that’s for sure.
Ok, leave a comment and I’ll send, or if you are really paranoid, then send me an email to phreaki@gmail.com
I’m personally not afraid of the big bad spam wolf ![]()
If you want a joost invite, I’ve got plenty. I’ve give over 30 out today alone! Leave a comment, get a joost invite. It might take me 12 hours if I’m asleep, but I’ll get to it!
Leave more comments if you want a joost invite. I’ve 900+ left still!
Since joost is now out, I can invite unlimited people to the what seems to be, closed beta. Leave a comment, and I’ll get around to it very soon!
There is no limit to the number of people I can invite, so just leave a comment.
The next 4 readers that leave me a comment with their email address will get a joost invite!
This makes the second time my readers and friends have gotten an invite to Joost, and I hope to keep doing it. One friend has yet to let me know if he has gotten an invite yet, so I’m reserving the last one for him. If he does have an invite already, I’ll pick a person randomly from the remaining comments to get the invite.
If you are getting a lot of ‘Supplemental Results’ from google, it’s important that your title and the text that are displayed in the top text of your main index template are changed to display the names of posts that change.
The simple code to help change that is: the_title(); and you can add that to your title and right under your blog name in the main index template.
Like most children at this wonderful age of almost 4, they want to be like their parents, so who are we not to allow them to play some form of MMORPG? World of Warcraft seems a bit too much for children to play, the topics of death, swords and all sorts of nasties leaves some to be desired.

I’m currently knee deep in some second life which is not so bad,
unless you end up in a bondage room,
then things get really hairy. Ok, things get hairy anywhere, as you can buy a rock hard penis on every street corner.
Lucky for us, I remember seeing Toon Town

when I was at Walmart, and decided maybe it was time for our son to get his own MMORPG and let go of our adult games. First, don’t sign up for the UK version as I’m not sure if it will even let you purchase an account with your USD that sits so happy in that plastic card.
Luckily however, the US based version will let you sign up multiple times with different email addresses, so I’m not sure how long you have until they yank that out. We really just didn’t know if he’d stay stuck with it, but there is so much to do I’d say most children will find something they like.
They do have a fun 3 day trial that helps your child to follow instructions that are given by you, but not really so much for a kid that isn’t capable of reading yet. The quests they offer don’t include much instructions on the screen in the form of icons, so you end up having to point a lot to get them moving. We ended up getting the service because our son just loved the Racing games that they have, whereby you get better cars with tickets.
