I will call it assurance, not insurance.

In the great debate that is the health care system there is a problem. In this land that cares for huddled masses, there is a great debate about the mass that is the uninsured. Should they have help living longer? Due to the obvious problem of payment, I will concede that politics must play a role in this New Colossus.

The chance is just literally right in front of us, a possible way to send more than 20 million into their 70’s. What will happen?. When did America stop doing things that were considered impossible or humane? When will the United States command the lead in this, a most important factor of being human?

There is an ugly face on the health care plan that is somehow covering my face, which is horrified at the idea of my other 50 million peers who have no insurance. The pain and misery from the choice of not going to the doctor is something the other 50 million who oppose the plan just do not know about. ( Must assume this….)

It just might take the French sending us a Golden Door in order for someone to help in this most important way.  Would your idea of the “plan” change if there was a Golden Door already there or one was announced?

I yearn to breathe, for free,
The lamp is lit.
Where is the golden door?

I need assurance that my health care needs will be met with a health care plan, which I can even help pay for, not insurance. There, did I solve the debate? If Obama said that the bill was assuring the public’s health would improve, could that change your mind?*

Would anything?

*Civility being what it is, I can say only so much about you can do. This is my opinion and much like fingers, we are all human. I reserve the right to delete, modify, twist and spin any comments left that do not have a hint of dignity to them.
